- 1 cup
salt
- 1/2 tspn
chilli
powder- 1 tspn
oil
- 1 tbspn for dough
water
- for dough
oil
- for frying
Procedure:
In
a bowl sieve the maida so that no lumps are formed for the flour.
add
salt and chilli powder and mix them properly.
add
water to make a dough...
make
a well in the flour and add little water. keep mixing the flour with water.
slowly
add water and keep mixing the flour to form a hard-soft dough.
If
the water is added at one go the flour might become either hard or too soft.
The
dough should be in the consistency of chapathi dough.
Once
the dough is made add oil to it and knead it well.
make
the dough into small balls .
Roll
out each ball by adding generous amount of maida flour so as to not stick.
Roll
into flat circles and keep them aside.
Now
take a knife and cut the rolled out chapati vertically with 1 inch space..
once
the chapathi is cut vertically take each cut slice and cut it horizantally in
some angle not straight.
This
will result in diamond shape cuts ready to be fried.
Keep
all aside .
In
a wok add oil and let it heat up.
add
the diamond cuts to the oil and fry till golden brown.
once
done remove the diamond cuts and place on tissue to absorb the remaining oil.
Keep
it open for around 15 mins till cooled. Then it can be stored in a container.
